Oregano, known since antiquity and whose name means "joy of the mountains" in Greek, is widespread in the wild in Europe.

Oregano likes proximity to all vegetable soups, which promotes growth and enhances flavour.

Sow in April-May in pots or planters placed in sunny exposure and settle the soil. The marjoram can be directly in the garden with sunny exposure.

Thinning: At the 6-7 leaf stage, remove the smallest plants. Keep the most vigorous and leave only one plant per pot.

Harvest leaves from July to September.
